hey people
here my red tigerstriped clay dragon, not named yet. thought of something like "tigron"...hm, nah, sounds to "robot-like". should read me in in old greek names.
made again of air hardening white clay, painted with water colors, all over with gloss varnish -> see making-of pictures.
working time was about fourty hours...again? i dont know, i wanted to count it this time. from the idea and sketches till finishing, i worked several months. but no, didnt work every day on it.
all in all im happy with it, even though i wasnt to exactly again. wanted to finish it, as im changing my working material, meaning i want to work with other clay.
i wasnt sure about the colors i should use for the now lower ocker part. first in my mind: white. then gold. some girl i know told me to do it orange. then maybe a bright green. darker brown. im still thinking of changing it, as my green dragon also has ocker color, too.
the whole dragon should firstly look totally different, more like a mix between a toad, crocodile, rhino, with the horns of a taurus. i havent finished that fatty one, but have adopted most ideas of it in this creature now.
as u can see, it is now a mix between:
a german shephard and a buffalo/taurus (the stance), the scales of a crocodile (better to recognize in the making-of), head is mostly inspired by a rhino. rest is of a tiger, like legs and stripes of course....no, not stars and stripes-> u need to love flat jokes.
as maybe some of u may say now: he, the red tigerstripe idea and color is adopted from the the video game "call of duty 4". but no, i had it in my mind months ago before i played the game. im simply a fan of tigerstripes and red, looks both very agressive and elegant at the same time.
the round eyes along from the mouth to the end of the tail are not inspired by the stomach parasite from "bioshock". i had it also months ago in my mind before playing the game.
and somehow it has a bit similarity with "berial" from devil may cry 4. hm... ah, just a bit.

...maybe i should simply sell my ideas to the video game industry and become rich?... JUST CALL ME, U KNOW HOW TO REACH ME

and dont blame me for blurry pictures. my cellphone-cam is on crack these days.
